One true loves, beyond an election| Review (EN-ES)

Life, on many occasions, surprises us in unsuspected ways and involves us in such complex circumstances that when we see them, from a distance, we can allow ourselves to reflect on whether we would be able to live or suffer something similar, or if we would have enough courage to make the right decisions, even if they imply some disappointment for third parties.

I bring all this up after watching the movie The Two Loves of My Life, which I would like to review today.

It had been a while since I took the time to sit down and watch a movie but just this weekend as I stayed at home trying to finish the embroidery work I have scheduled for this week, I decided to look for a movie to watch, while embroidering.

So, searching through the streaming platforms that I have by subscription, I went through Netflix and after a while I found nothing that caught my attention. Then, I switched to HBO and nothing. Finally, I browsed Prime and found a movie that caught my attention because of the title, and also because of the genre, as I wanted to see a bit of drama and comedy at the same time.

La vida, en muchas ocasiones, nos sorprende de maneras insospechadas y nos envuelve en circunstancias tan complejas que cuando las vemos, a distancia, podemos permitirnos la reflexión acerca de si podríamos ser capaces de vivir o padecer algo igual, o si tendríamos el suficiente coraje para tomar las decisiones correctas, aunque impliquen alguna decepción para terceros.

Todo esto lo traigo a colación, después de ver la película Los dos amores de mi vida que con mucho gusto quiero reseñar hoy.

Hacía rato que no me tomaba el tiempo para sentarme a ver una película pero justo este fin de semana, como me quedé en casa, tratando de terminar el trabajo de bordado que tengo pautado para esta semana, decidí buscar una película para ver, mientras bordaba.

Así, buscando en las plataformas de streaming que tengo por suscripción, pasé por Netflix y luego de un rato no encontré nada que me llamara la atención. Después, cambié a HBO y nada. Finalmente, navegué por Prime y encontré una película que me llamó la atención por el título, y también por el género, pues quería ver un poco de drama y comedia al mismo tiempo.

The two loves of my life is a film recently released this year, which tells the story of Emma, a story in which she finds herself facing a dilemma of life, thanks to one of those moves of fate that paralyze, but in the end move to make decisions for life.

The story presented in this film is based on the book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and although the reviews of the film experts are not the best in terms of its cinematographic level, I liked it for several reasons. Among them, the subject it deals with, because it seemed to me a very interesting subject, I had never seen it captured in a film before. It is one of those topics that give a lot of food for thought, as they say out there, it has a lot of material to cut.

Another thing that stands out in this film is the importance of family support to get out of an emotional hole in which often there is no light on the horizon. And finally, precisely, it allows us to highlight the possibility that there will always be a new opportunity to be reborn and start again.

There are many things to reflect on in this film, for now I can only say to avoid making spoilers that love is more than a choice, it is a decision.

Each of the decisions we make make our path, our destiny and our life, so it is best to try to make the best ones, without regrets, true to what we feel and think in order to live fully. '

Los dos amores de mi vida es una película recién estrenada este año, que nos cuenta la historia de Emma, una historia en la que ella se encuentra frente a una disyuntiva de vida, gracias a una de esas jugadas del destino que paralizan, pero que al final mueven a tomar decisiones para toda la vida.

La historia que se nos presenta en esta película está basada en el libro de Taylor Jenkins Reid que lleva el mismo nombre, y aunque las críticas de los expertos en cine no son las mejores en cuanto al nivel cinematográfico de la misma, a mí me gustó por varias razones. Entre ellas, el tema que aborda, pues me pareció un tema muy interesante, nunca antes lo había visto plasmado en una película. Es de esos temas que dan para hacer muchas reflexiones, como dicen por ahí, tiene mucha tela que cortar.

Otra cosa que destaco en esta película, es la importancia del apoyo familiar para salir de un hueco emocional en el que muchas veces no se ve luz en el horizonte. Y, por último, precisamente, nos permite resaltar la posibilidad de que siempre habrá una nueva oportunidad para renacer y comenzar de nuevo.

Hay muchas cosas que reflexionar en esta película, por ahora solo puedo decir para no hacer spoiler que el amor es más que una elección, es una decisión.

Cada una de las decisiones que tomamos hacen nuestro camino, nuestro destino y nuestra vida, así que lo mejor es tratar de tomar las mejores, si n remordimientos, fieles a lo que sentimos y pensamos para poder vivir plenamente. ´
