[PL / ENG] Szadź SE1 [2020]

W ferie dokończyliśmy polski serial "Szadź", oparty na powieści Brejdyganta, którą onegdaj czytałam.

During the winter holidays we finished the Polish series "Szadź", based on Brejdygant's novel, which I read a while ago.

Książka była niezła, ale nie zmieściła się w mojej topce, bo tak jak pisałam - pozostawiła pewien niedosyt, pomimo iż technicznie nie było jej czego odmówić, a Igor Brejdygant zdecydowanie potrafi pisać. A serial? Tu było lepiej o tyle, że nie doskwierał mi ten brak suspensu, którego oczekuję czytając kryminał. Seriale i filmy rządzą się u mnie innymi prawami, czy coś.

The book was good, but it didn't make it to my top, because as I wrote - it left me wanting, even though technically there was nothing to deny, and Igor Brejdygant can definitely write. And the series? It was better here in that I didn't suffer from the lack of suspense that I expect when reading a crime novel. Series and movies are governed by different rules for me, or something.

Pierwszy sezon serialu składa się z siedmiu odcinków i nie ukrywam, że pierwsze trzy oceniłam źle. Nie wciągała mnie fabuła, nie zachwyciła gra aktorska, ogólnie - nic ciekawego. Być może dlatego, że była to przesiadka bo naprawdę udanym serialu "Stamtąd" i po wyśmienitym filmie "Prawdziwy ból", może dlatego ta pozycja wypadła blado. Ale od czwartego odcinka moja percepcja się zmieniła: zaczęłam doceniać niezłe kadry, dobrą scenerię, skrzypiące deski podłóg, dobrego Stuhra i paru innych aktorów, słowem - dużo zyskał ten serial w moich oczach tak mniej więcej od połowy.

The first season of the series consists of seven episodes and I won't hide the fact that I rated the first three poorly. The plot didn't grab me, the acting didn't impress me, in general - nothing interesting. Maybe because it was a change after the really successful series "From There" and after the excellent film "True Pain", maybe that's why this position came out pale. But from the fourth episode my perception changed: I started to appreciate good shots, good scenery, creaking floorboards, good Stuhr and a few other actors, in a word - this series gained a lot in my eyes from about the halfway point.

I podobał mi się już zasadniczo aż do końca, oprócz tych scen z retrospekcją dramatycznych wydarzeń z dzieciństwa, bo te były zrobione jakoś tak dziwnie ;) Ale ogółem naprawdę było nieźle i całkiem całkiem mi się podobało.
Czy tak, żeby kontynuować oglądanie kolejnych sezonów? Absolutnie nie. To dokrętki, nie wiem czy autor książki coś o nich słyszał. Morderca został złapany, poszedł siedzieć, po co drążyć dalej? Nie wiem, jakby nie było nic innego do oglądania, to pewnie bym się skusiła. Ale jest aż zanadto, to czasu brakuje. Więc pozostaję na tym jednym sezonie i daję mu piąteczkę.

And I liked it basically until the end, except for those scenes with a flashback to dramatic events from my childhood, because those were done somehow strangely ;) But overall it was really good and I liked it quite a bit.

Is it enough to continue watching the next seasons? Absolutely not. These are recaps, I don't know if the author of the book has heard anything about them. The murderer was caught, he went to prison, why continue? I don't know, if there was nothing else to watch, I would probably be tempted. But there is more than enough, there is not enough time. So I'll stick to this one season and give it a five.
