Is MARVEL Getting Desperate?

I am a huge MARVEL fan and have watched almost all movies and TV series that have been released even when some of them have been not so awesome but it would be wrong of me if I said that I absolutely love the current Phase of MARVEL as MARVEL hasn't been producing any spectacular content since LOKI and this is my personal opinion so please don't hammer me on that. Plus it wouldn't be a stretch to call that after the AVENGERS ENDGAME the MARVEL production has definitely seen a toll for the worse and it could really be seen in the MS MARVEL Franchise and the SHE HULK Series.
But all of these came to a staggering halt when recently MARVEL decided to unveil their latest Phase of Movies and TV Series among which they will be introducing the most Badass Villains of all time Dr DOOM and the person that is going to play Dr. DOOM turned out to be none other than Mr Robert Downey Junior.
Now as expected the internet went crazy as RDJ was making his comeback into the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE and we know him as an actor who has literally breathed life into this Franchise but I do have a couple of concerns and I might be grasping straws but hear me out in these couple of points.
First of all the whole return of Robert Downey Junior sounds a lot like MARVEL wants to garner attention from wherever they can as their recent Movies and TV Series were not doing so well.
Secondly I am a little worried as to how RDJ will be able to fill up a Negative Character Role after being one of the most popular AVENGERS out there.
It is not like I doubt Robert Downey Juniors' capability as an Actor but Dr. DOOM is an Iconic character from the MCU and I am not sure how the Directors are going to tie Dr. DOOM with RDJ and yes I know there is the whole Multiverse Madness going on and they can tie that shot up but I really want Dr. DOOM to blow us apart and that starts from the story of Dr. DOOM itself.
I just want to watch a good Marvel movie like it used to be back in the past, watch it with my buddies, and scream in the theaters when it ends.
