9 Movies Worth Watching this Christmas Season
Few days to go and it's Christmas. What are you watching? If you want something different here are some to inspire us to be better people!
Let's watch these movies and gain inspiration to be like them and work our way to Heaven. As for the horror film in the list, it serves as a warning to us all. 😁
I will include the links where to watch them (and embed the videos) but if you can find better sources go ahead and share. 😁 Best one for me is the last on the list. Hehe.
1. The Bible Collection: Jeremiah (1998, Patrick Dempsey)
Use a VPN to watch if you can't play the movie:
To start, watch it because Patrick Dempsey looks good, hahaha. But at least you'll know a story from the Old Testament. I'm not familiar with this one before. Of course just read the Bible if the movie is not enough. Not sure if it's a Catholic production or Christian but still it's okay to watch.
2. Divine Mercy sa Buhay ni (in the life of) Sister Faustina (1993, Donita Rose, Christopher de Leon)
This is a Filipino movie. Turn on the subtitle and enjoy!. 😁
Well I had no idea that Donita had such a movie. Hahaha. Last year I just found out about this. Haha. Anyway here you will know who the nun is that Jesus showed Himself to in Poland. And what are the messages to her that spread around the world after a thorough investigation by the Vatican.
3. Fatima (2020)
The story of the 3 young shepherds who Our Lady of Fatima appeared to in Portugal in 1917. Find out what happened and why this story is so popular to many. It's where you can see an interpretation of the events that transpired and what the children saw.
4. Ignatius of Loyola (2016): Watch on Prime
It is produced by Filipinos, yes. You wouldn't know because it's not obvious. haha. Everything is made by Pinoys, as well as direction, costume, props, etc., except only the actors and location/setting which is in Spain itself. Amazing that we can make a quality movie with a foreign cast and location!
Check out the trailer!

5. The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999, Milla Jovovich):
You may have watched this already in the past. 😁 It's one of my favorites because... A woman led a war and won battles several times! Wow!
6. NEFARIOUS (2023)
If it's not viewable in your country you need to use VPN to watch:
Here, when you watch it, you will know how demons think. Notice, if you agree with the villain so you'll know what to do. 😆 Confession is waving if that's the case. Haha.
Exorcist priests highly recommend it, also because one of their consultants to make the film was an exorcist.
7. Mary of Nazareth (2012)
If it's not available in your country you need to use VPN to watch:
They changed the video thumbnail, that's not the actress playing Mary in the movie. Anyway this is way better than Mary of Netflix. It is closer to Catholic doctrine and has no blasphemous scenes or whatever. This one has a smiley and happy Mama Mary compared to all the movies I've watched. ❤️
8. Father Stu (2022, Mark Wahlberg):
I watched this on Prime but it seems unavailable now. Check it out from other sources.
Meanwhile here's the trailer:
Very inspiring, highly recommended whether you don't know anything about Catholicism or if you are a practicing Catholic. Here you will know how a boxer became a priest. You can also see how Catholics live their lives, within the American culture of course.
9. For Greater Glory (2012, Andy Garcia)
This is a super inspiring film for me. Imagine if in your country Catholic persecution happened, could you also do what devotees did? 😁

Just in case the links don't play anymore it just means the YT link expired. If that happens just search and find the video to watch it if still available.
So, which ones have you never seen and which will you rewatch? What do you think of this list? Feel free to share in the comments!
