A film that made me laugh, feel warmth and tenderness, cry and feel complex emotions such as anxiety, anger and frustration. A kitten in a world where humans no longer exist must face a great flood, following his instincts to survive, and encountering a capybara (Chigüiro for those in the know), a dog, a lemur and a bird. No dialogue, no humanization. A novel proposal that takes a risk to move emotions and touch sensitive fibers in the viewer.
Cinema can create all kinds of connections, and it is beautiful to see on the big screen new proposals that manage to transmit and reach the audience in new ways.
No character is in the story without purpose. Each one has a marked personality, linked to their species and although they do not seek to humanize them, each one has inks of basic instinctive actions with which we can identify, because deep down, our reptilian side is always there, somewhere in us.
Una película que me hizo reír, sentir calidez y ternura, llorar y sentir emociones complejas como la ansiedad, el enojo y la frustración. Un gatito en un mundo donde ya no existen humanos debe enfrentarse a una gran inundación, siguiendo sus instintos para sobrevivir, y encontrándose con un capibara (Chigüiro para los entendidos), un perro, un lémur y un pájaro . Sin diálogos, sin humanizar. Una propuesta novedosa que se arriesga para mover emociones y tocar fibras sensibles en el espectador.
El cine puede crear todo tipo de conexiones, y es hermoso ver en pantalla grande nuevas propuestas que logran transmitir y llegar al publico de nuevas formas.
Ningún personaje está en la historia sin finalidad. Cada uno tiene una personalidad marcada, ligada a su especie y aunque no buscan humanizarlos, cada uno tiene tintas de acciones instintivitas básicas con las que podemos sentirnos identificados, porque en el fondo, nuestro lado reptiliano siempre esta allí, en alguna parte de nosotros.

In Flow, because of a huge flood from which no one can escape, a group of animals is involved in an impromptu team trip in order to survive. There is no safe destination to go to, no human to lead them to safety, only animals following their instincts to stay afloat in a boat, flowing with the situation.

En Flow, por una enorme inundación de la que nadie puede escapar, un grupo de animales se ve envuelto en un viaje en equipo improvisado con el objetivo de sobrevivir. No hay un destino seguro al cual ir, ni un humano que los dirija y los ponga a salvo, solo animales que siguiendo sus instintos se mantienen a flote en un bote, fluyendo con la situación persé.
The protagonist is a black kitten, who at the beginning is dominated by fear and is surly, though curious, but as he explores his possibilities and gets to know his new environment (a boat, and water all around him), he manages to adapt and learn to cope, fish and move the boat's controls. He gets himself into dangerous situations that hold your heart in your throat the entire movie
El protagonista es un gatito negro, el cual al inicio se ve dominado por el miedo y se muestra arisco, aunque curioso, sin embargo a medida que explora sus posibilidades y conoce su nuevo entorno (un barco, y agua a todo su alrededor), se las arregla para adaptarse y aprender a desenvolverse, pescar y mover el mando del barco. Se mete en situaciones peligrosas que te cargan con el corazón en la garganta toda la película.

Por otro lado tenemos un pájaro mensajero, grande y majestuoso, el cual, por desarrollar afinidad con el gato, es herido por su manada y ya no puede volar. Dirige el rumbo del barco y tiene un carácter calmado pero distante con el resto de los animales. Este aunque recupera su capacidad de volar, ya se sentía limitado y pierde la voluntad. Lo cual se ve representado de forma un poco mística con su ascenso al cielo en el pico mas alto de una superficie rocosa.

The Capybara has a friendly, empathetic and easy-going personality. He allows himself to flow with situations as they arise without getting caught up in emotional extremes or strong reactions to his other shipmates. Cooperative, considerate and genuinely pure, he does not have the best instincts in judging others so he is not selective when interacting or integrating animals into the group.
El Capibara tiene una personalidad amigable, empática y despreocupada. Se deja fluir con las situaciones que se van dando sin verse envuelto en extremos emocionales o reacciones fuertes hacia sus otros compañeros de barco. Es cooperativo, considerado y genuinamente puro, no tiene los mejores instintos juzgando a otros por lo que no es selectivo al interaccionar o integrar animales al grupo.

The Lemur (holy God, this snout is Stingy from Lazy Town made animal), at the beginning is shown to be uncooperative, selfish, materialistic, hoarder and impulsive. El Lemur (Dios santo, este morro es Stingy de Lazy Town hecho animal), al principio se muestra poco cooperativo, egoísta, materialista, acumulador e impulsivo. Al avanzar la trama varios problemas se suscitan por el, e incluso llegando al tramo final pensamos que es incluso peor de lo que se veía al inicio, ya que CUANDO SE VA LA INUNDACIÓN EL DEJA EL BARCO Y SUS COMPAÑEROS COLGANDO DE UN ARBOL EN EL BARRANCO, aunque vemos un cambio en su carácter cuando decide guiar al gato a donde están y ayudarlos activamente.

The Dog, in all fairness, has good and bad things. He is extroverted, playful, trusting, confident, intense and although well intentioned, quite questionable when it comes to taking sides or decisions. At the beginning he is quite dependent and social, with the need for attention and interaction, but little by little he will learn to respect the personalities and space of each companion.
El Perro, siendo justos tiene cosas buenas y malas. Es extrovertido, juguetón, confianzudo, confiado, intenso y aunque bien intencionado, bastante cuestionable a la hora de tomar bandos o decisiones. Al principio es bastante dependiente y social, con la necesidad de atención e interacción, pero poco a poco va a aprendiendo a respetar las personalidades y espacio de cada compañero.

This film is a refreshing work of art that after so much fast food cinema shows the genuine love and dedication that its creators put into it, for the motor skills, behaviors and instincts of each animal, its plot does not seek to be caricatured or heroes or villains, they are just what they are, creatures trying to survive the best way they can.
Esta película es una obra de arte refrescante que luego de tanto fast food cinematográfico deja ver la entrega y cariño genuino que sus creadores pusieron en ella, por la motricidad, comportamientos e instintos de cada animal, su trama no busca ser caricaturesca ni de héroes o villanos, solo son lo que son, criaturas intentando sobrevivir de la mejor forma que pueden.
I highly recommend it. It has a light structure, which makes it interesting for audiences of all ages, and you can even watch it with your cat if you have one (the soundtrack and sounds you get from a real cat attract feline attention). My cat was the test specimen, and she loved it.
La recomiendo encarecidamente. Tiene una estructura ligera, que permite que sea interesante para públicos de todas las edades, e incluso, puedes verla con tu gato si tienes uno (la banda sonora y sonidos que son obtenidos de un gato real llaman la atención de los felinos). la montaña rusa de emociones que genera esta pelicula es impresionante. El lemur es mi personaje favorito. El solo queria tener sus cositas. Me gustó su evolucion para el final de la peli
