Faster 2010 Film Review - The Ghost's Terrifying Revenge
Dwayne Johnson or The Rock has been my favorite actor since I was a child when I was playing the SmackDown Game on PS 2, when I found out that The Rock had started starring in great Hollywood films, my liking for him increased even more.
Moreover, currently Dwayne Johnson has acted in many great and famous films which has made his name increasingly known to many people. The last and newest film played by Dwayne Johnson that I watched was Jumanji: The Next Level, maybe if I have the chance I also want to review it here with my film lover friends.
Tonight I just finished watching one of the legendary The Rock/Dwayne Johnson films entitled Faster, this film was released in 2010 and received a rating of 6.4 according to the IMDB site.
Actually, when I was still in high school in 2018 I had already watched this film with my classmates, but tonight I decided to watch this film again because I really really liked the storyline.
The film Faster tells the story of a former big-time criminal named Driver, played by Dwayne Johnson, who wants to take revenge against the people who killed his brother and friends in the past.
This film is made to be quite tense and very exciting to watch, like other typical American films, this film is played by great actors with muscular bodies with a dashing style.
While watching this film, my emotions continued to feel angry and satisfied when the Driver killed one by one the people who had killed his brother in the past. If you look at the overall storyline, the context of this film is sadistic revenge.
Throughout the film I was entertained by the plot going back and forth as it told the main goal and main reason for the main character when carrying out each action in this film.
Through this film I was moved by the loyalty of a brother towards his younger brother, he is willing to do anything to avenge him so that his younger brother can die in peace.
Like most other Dwayne Johnson films, every action in this film relies more on muscles than brains, this is what made my adrenaline even stronger when watching this film, especially when several epic fight scenes were shown.
Some of the supporting actors in this film also play their roles well which makes this film look even more interesting. This film is also made very simple and there is not much ado that can make the story less interesting and boring.
The story style of this film looks exactly like the way mafia works in general, which carries out its actions only with brutality and sadism. One thing that makes me applaud this film is that when the Driver chooses to forgive one of his enemies who has truly repented for his crimes in the past, it turns out that such a sadistic person can also forgive his enemies.
However, the plot twist at the end of this film really made me not expect the end of the whole story, after killing so many criminals, it turns out that the main villain of this film is a corrupt police officer, this is really a plot twist that will make us feel lied throughout the film.
In my personal opinion, this is a good film because it doesn't make us bored when watching it, the choice of actors also suits each character they play.
I like the typical American places included in the scenes in this film, such as bars, deserts and also
middle of the desert road that is very typical of Uncle Sam's country.
The story of this film also makes sense, I was not disappointed in the slightest with the storyline of this film, I am sure the director George Tillman Jr has embellished this film very perfectly.
The actors' acting is also perfect and they don't look the slightest bit stupid, making this film look even more realistic. I dare say, for a film released in 2010, it is still very worth watching to this day.
Tonight I watched it with my family on Netflix which we play on the big TV in our house, overall it is a good movie and my family gives this movie two thumbs up.
Visuals The sound of this film is also very clear and full of tension which makes the heart beat even faster when tense actions begin to be shown in the scenes, such as the sound of gunshots, the sound of typical American muscle cars and the sounds of collisions which can be heard very clearly.
The conclusion is, this film teaches us about high loyalty, especially between family members. However, I was also increasingly annoyed by some of the corrupt police officers shown in this film.
Just like in the real world, I have also seen several corrupt police officers which makes me hate the characteristics of this model of police even more. Hopefully we can be loyal people to our families and there will be no more bad police in this world.
If you want to watch an exciting and tense film with your family, maybe Film Faster could be a good choice.
This is my review for Film Faster, see you in the next film review.
