Movie Blog Review: Harry Potter Complete Series

I am really not a fan of fantasy movies and series but I feel left out when I saw a post related to Harry Potter. My friends also watched this series and since I have a lot of time this summer vacation, I decided to give it time and watch its 8 Episodes.

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone)
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Each episode is approximately 130 minutes and it is a long one than expected. So, I am always finishing every stuff and chore that I must do first before watching so I can binge-watch after.

Each episode has its own plot twist which I love every time I watch a movie. You know, I love movies or books that have an unexpected twist in the end. Harry Potter will not fail its audience and I love it on my first watch.

You will also learn a lot from the movie like having good friendships, being good at all times, choosing the people that you must trust, and correct judgment of people.

The trio from the movie: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley is a good combination and example of best friends. They are the main characters in the movie which I admire while watching.

Upon entering Hogwarts, the students will be sorted into four different houses based on their personality, character, or preferences. The four houses are:

  1. Gryffindor
  2. Hufflepuff
  3. Ravenclaw
  4. Slytherin

The known trio belongs to the Gryffindor house. Harry Potter is a good, powerful, leader, and consistent friend. He has this stubborn attitude and loves breaking the rules for the greater good. Hermione Granger is a smart character. She knows every spell that the two boys find useful. They cannot live without her! Ron Weasley is a funny and real friend. Despite having ups and downs in their friendship, he always finds the light in the darkness.

Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts is also a good one in judging people's characters. He knows everything and who he will trust. He always has crazy plans that end up in protecting Harry Potter and the school.

Not to mention, I think an underrated character from the movie is Severus Snape. He is known for being a scary professor in Hogwarts and also the Head of Slytherin House. However, despite his character, it is hard to judge him just because of what he is showing in the school. Later on, Harry Potter found out the real motive behind his actions. I will not tell a lot about this for the sake of people who haven't watched it yet -- if any.

There are a lot of characters from the movie and I would say that each of them has its own unique traits that you will love. I admire all of the characters, their acts are powerful to the point that I am getting mad when they are making a stupid mistake or actions.

Overall, after watching the whole series, I feel that I am a Wizard LOL. One thing that I enjoyed is learning the spells such as Expecto Patronum, Wingardium Leviosa, Accio, Expelliarmus, Obliviate, Avada Kedavra, Crucio, Alohomora, Lumos, and Imperio. So far, these are my favorite spells in the movie.

There are no regrets and wasted time after watching it because it is worth watching, and I think anyone who hasn't watched it yet should start now. Your life will not be completed without knowing the story of Harry Potter. exaggeration.
