I am one of those people who appreciate loyalty, that's why for the last 5 years I have not been to any other movie theater other than cine colombia, I am a platinum customer there, that means I go at least 30 times a year to the movies, I love to go to the movies and watch them when they come out.

However, the prices lately have been going up and the quality of cine colombia has made me doubt this weekend, I wanted to compare the service and quality of the movies at royal films. So being a regular moviegoer I have the criteria to comment on a few things, let's start.

• Although the theater was not big, it was renovated, it has new seats, it is somewhat cozy, I put it for about 100 people, more or less, a point that I really liked is that the air conditioning was on at maximum power, it was very cold, so much so that my body froze, I did not wear a jacket and it was great, in cine colombia in fact it is as if they did not want to turn on the air, sometimes it is even hot.

• I didn't go into the bathroom, I forgot to do it, but judging by all the renovation done, I think they were also new, as there are only 6 rooms they must not be so big bathrooms, compared to cine colombia which has more than 14 rooms in its southern branch.

• The prices are very affordable, in fact they are the same as at cine colombia but with the platinum card that I have, this is a big advantage for royal films, because they offer a better treatment to people from the beginning, without having to go 30 times to the movies.

• In the theater I was in, there was no VIP section which is good because all the chairs are spacious and comfortable, from row 1 to the end, this is very good, because in cine colombia you have to go to preferential, the general seats are smaller, they are uncomfortable, they sound so old.

• A negative point for royal films is that for the food there was a long line, few staff attending, we didn't buy, but anyway at least 20 minutes in line, it's hard to stand, in cine colombia with the platinum card you almost don't even have to wait in line, if there are a lot of people in the platinum line there will be 5-7 people and that on very busy days, because on weekdays, there is easily no line, and being platinum they give you free crispetas, it is a small portion enough for two people to chew something the first minutes of the movie, then one completes with some nachos and a soda and everything is perfect.

• To buy the tickets there were some problems, the page was slow, I had to make several attempts, in cine colombia this does not happen, they should improve it.

• Royal films offers a premium card that is worth 12,000 COP per year, about 2.5 USD, this gives you tickets at better prices, and food also to save a couple of dollars each time you go to the movies, a plus, because you pay the annual subscription and you decide whether to renew or not, while cine colombia needs you to go 30 times a year, for some that is impossible to achieve.

In conclusion, I liked the experience, sometimes it is good not to get married to a single brand and despite my loyalty to cine colombia for 5 years, I think it is time for them to make some changes, because the competition, at least with royal films is being won by royal, better prices, better facilities, and better quality of temperature, they do not seem to save resources in lowering the air conditioning, which is appreciated for the heat they have been doing.

Soy de las personas que aprecian la fidelidad, es por eso que desde hace 5 años no asistia a otra sala de cine que no fuera cine colombia, soy cliente platino allá, significa que voy al menos 30 veces al año a cine, me encanta ir a cine y ver las películas cuando salen.

Sin embargo, los precios últimamente han estado subiendo y la calidad de cine colombia me ha puesto a dudar este fin de semana, quise comparar el servicio y la calidad del cine en royal films. Asi que siendo una persona que asiste a cine regularmente tengo criterio para comentar algunas cuantas cosas, empecemos.

• A pesar que la sala no era grande, estaba renovada, tiene asientos nuevos, es algo acogedora, yo le pongo para unas 100 personas, más o menos, un punto que me gustó mucho es que el aire acondicionado estaba prendido a su maxima potencia, hacia mucho frio, tanto asi que se me congelo el cuerpo, no lleve saco y fue genial, en cine colombia de hecho es como si no quisieran prender el aire, a veces hasta da calor.

• No entré al baño, se me olvido hacerlo, pero a juzgar por toda la renovación hecha, pienso que también estaban nuevos, como solamente hay 6 salas no deben de ser baños tan grandes, comparado a cine colombia que tiene más de 14 salas en su sede del sur.

• Los precios son muy asequibles, de hecho son iguales que a cine colombia pero con la tarjeta platino que yo tengo, esto es una ventaja grande para los de royal films, porque le ofrecen un mejor trato a las personas desde el inicio, sin necesidad de tener que ir 30 veces al cine.

• En la sala que estuve, no había sección VIP lo cual es bueno porque todas las sillas son amplias y comodas, desde la fila 1 hasta la final, esto es muy bueno, porque en cine colombia toca si o si ir a preferencial, la de general son más pequeñas, son incomodas, suenan de lo viejas que están.

• Punto negativo para royal films es que para la comida había mucha fila, poco personal atendiendo, nosotros no compramos, pero de todos modos al menos 20 minutos ahi haciendo fila, no aguanta, en cine colombia con la tarjeta platino de cliente preferencial casi que ni toca hacer fila, si hay mucha gente en la fila platino serán 5-7 personas y eso que en dias muy concurridos, porque entre semana, fácilmente ni hay fila, y ser platino te dan crispetas gratis, es una pequeña porción suficiente para que dos personas puedan masticar algo los primeros minutos de la película, entonces uno completa con unos nachos y con una gaseosa y todo perfecto.

• Para comprar las boletas hubo algo de problemas, la pagina estaba lenta, toco hacer varios intentos, en cine colombia no pasa eso, deben mejorarlo.

• Royal films ofrece una tarjeta premium que vale la anualidad 12,000 COP unos 2,5 USD, esto te da boletas a mejores precios, y la comida también para ahorrar un par de dolares cada vez que se asiste al cine, punto a favor, porque se paga la suscripción anual y uno decide si renovar o no, mientra que cine colombia necesita que vayas 30 veces al cine por año, para algunos eso es imposibles de alcanzar.

En conclusión, me gustó la experiencia, a veces es bueno no casarse con una sola marca y a pesar de mi fidelidad a cine colombia durante 5 años, creo que es momento de que ellos hagan algunos cambios, porque la competencia, al menos con royal films está siendo ganada por royal, mejores precios, mejores instalaciones, y mejor calidad de temperatura, no parecen ahorrar recursos en bajarle al aire acondicionado, lo cual se agradece para los calores que han estado haciendo.
