The four-episode story that begins with Uglies is driven by an interesting cast that does its best to give us exciting moments on screen, especially thanks to its hero Joey King, the picture's most important murder weapon.

It was King who really came up with the whole proposal and it was he who carried the script on his shoulders, never deciding which way to go, which is why we are always left with a half-baked movie set.
The direction once again proves that McG can make a film in this style, but once again falls short of simplicity and does not offer a more decisive and genuine proposal than the simple synthesis of chromakey images.

Perhaps its greatest asset is that it gives us some very beautiful landscapes that stand out against Xiaolong Liu's beautiful photography.
Now the film's greatest achievement deserves its own section, namely the pleasant soundtrack, which counts Ed Shearmur among the best.
All in all, what I'm left with is a film that turns out to be a fairly enjoyable horror film that, despite its sparse plot, will appeal well to young audiences, which is what the film aims to do.
However, if we move on to the central background we find a hollow adaptation that sticks better as we get closer to the end credits, which leaves a truly profound feeling like before it gets your attention, the end is near.
This is a 4-book story and we'll see what Netflix surprises us with in future releases like Pretties, Specials and Extras.
