I saw this movie years ago and I just got it on a streaming platform and I watched it again, it is undoubtedly one of those film productions that teaches something and entertains.

The plot of the script is based on a 2009 German film called Lila Lila, with certain modifications that make it more interesting and give an unexpected twist to the story.

The story is about plagiarism, honesty, love for oneself and the weight of public exposure to a fact that could turn everything into nothing.

Bradley Cooper as Rory Jansen, is the son of a successful businessman but decides to carve his own path and embark on the adventure of writing, which is his passion, but he comes up against a barrier he did not know, the demands of the publishing world that closes the doors despite giving good reviews to what he writes.

In the end he decides to work in a literary agency to get married to his girlfriend Dora who is played by Zoe Saldaña and on the honeymoon in Paris in an old briefcase that she gives him gets an unsigned manuscript and reading it is shocked with the story and transcribes it to his laptop.

The bride reads it and believes it is written by him and congratulates him and he decides to present it to the advertising agency as his own and it is published obtaining a great success.

Everything changes when on one of his book signing tours he runs into an old man played by Jeremy Irons who tells him that he is the author of the book and tells him that what is written there is his own story.

Everything changes and even though the old man is not claiming the public credits, Rory feels vile and tries to make up for his bad deed unsuccessfully, as the environment reproaches him but at the same time leads him not to do it.

This was a very low budget film, just 6 billion dollars, without great expectations directed by Brian Klugman, who was also part of the script along with Lee Sternthal, who was also part of the direction, this being his debut in this field and grossed almost 14 billion dollars at the box office.

It is worth mentioning that Dennis Quaid was also part of the cast and played Clay Hammond.

A film without many pretensions that tells two stories in different times and that ends up captivating.
