The Matrix (1999)

The first time I saw this film I did it with a group of friends on a VHS tape and I confess that I was confused with the mixture of fiction and philosophy, besides the fact that the proposal of the script was novel.
With the passing of time the film takes value as the new augmented reality movements that have emerged were portrayed in the film half a decade in advance and laid bare realities that could occur in the future.

The Matrix was a daring mise-en-scène that required effects, technology, action, a consistent script authored by sisters Lilly and Lana Wachowski and actors who could fit into what was desired.
The plot is set in a dystopian future where humanity is unknowingly trapped inside a simulated reality that has been created by intelligent machines to distract humans while using their bodies as a source of energy.

This is discovered by a computer programmer working under the hacker pseudonym of "Neo", played by Keanu Reeves who joins a rebellion led by Morpheus and others to fight the machines.
The film mixes dissimilar aspects such as computer science, philosophy, action, detective and police scenes, some romanticism and novel scenes that catch and make the viewer try to guess what's next.
The scenario is inside the computer, it is a simulated world to which the viewer adapts progressively, I confess that I had to watch it several times to be able to achieve it.

It had a budget of 63 million dollars and grossed over 460 million, which led to the creation of a sequel of three more films and a series of short animated video games and comics, it also won four Oscars for Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects and was included in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 2012.
It became a cult film and starred Carrie-Ann Moss as Trinity, Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus, Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith. And Joe Pantoliano as Cypher.

When we get to set in all the paradox of the film we are entertained and relaxed, despite many violent scenes that are in it, personally I do not recommend it for children, because although time has passed and technology has made giant strides, it is confusing for naive minds.
