Terrifier 3 (2024)

Gore cinema at its most brutal, extreme and exaggerated.

The third part of Terrifier is destructive, brutal, extremely barbaric, difficult to watch because of its excessive violence and cruelty on a psychological level. It leaves a bad body in all senses.

Damien Leone improves his direction with each film, but the guy must be losing his mind a bit, because this ode to debauchery is so astonishing, something the average person wouldn't even think of.

I like it, I must say. It's bad taste in good taste.

The story is much better than it sounds, far from being a straight up slasher, and as far-fetched as it sounds , on a plot level it draws heavily from Twin Peaks.

It tells the story of an ancient ancestral evil polluting reality with its evil and the tormented saviors chosen to fight it, in a surreal setting drenched in blood and guts .

The Laura Palmer of this story, is committed to her performance. It's nice to have an "end girl ” like that.

Samantha Scaffidi is even better: under makeup, the actress shines in this sequel, taking on a much larger role as the lead, where she assumes the legacy of Pale Girl from the previous film and accompanies Art on his wild adventures.

The main star , unsurprisingly , David Howard Thornton, is brutal as the psychotic Chaplin, great to watch, so nasty and manipulative.

What can we say about the special effects, it's a real treat beyond compare. If you like Braindead, you have nothing to envy the visceral amnesia of Peter Jackson' s classic, although personally I like the comedic tone of this version of the horror genre at such a level.

The setting is Christmas, I feel it offers a different environment than the previous two games and at the same time explains the symbolism of the demons and saviors.

The plot confirms theories that may arise from the mythology presented in the previous movie.

I saw a clip of the cinematic session of this movie last night. The expressions on the faces of the people watching was all I needed to know. Thank you for sharing this!
