Relatos Salvajes (2014)

This is an Argentine-Spanish production directed by Damián Szifron, winner of the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2003 for the film "El Fondo del Mar", who wrote the screenplay.

It screens six stories that explore the dark side of human behavior in unexpected situations that unhinge everyday life and bring out the worst in each person.

All of them are black comedy dramas with good performances by the cast and consistency that allow the viewer to get hooked in the problem presented and in many occasions identify with them.

The name of the stories in order of appearance are: Pasternak, Las Ratas, El más fuerte, Bombita, La propuesta and Hasta que la muerte nos separe, in them act Darío Grandinetti, of extensive experience in film and television, Julieta Zylberberg, winner of the Silver Condor Award for best actress in 2011, for her role in the film La mirada invisible.

Also Leonardo Sbaraglia, with an extensive career and winner of several awards in film and television such as the Martin Fierro and the Goya, Ricardo Darín, also multiple winner of film acting awards, Oscar Martínez, as well as the previous award-winning actor and Érica Rivas, of the same quality as the above mentioned, all Argentines, along with others who give excellence to the acting participation in the film.

It was released on May 17, 2014 and in August 2014 in theaters in Spain and Argentina, With 449,292 spectators, it became the most watched Argentine film in history during its first weekend of exhibition, it was released in the United States in February 2015.

It received very good reviews and was nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 87th Oscar Awards, but did not win, being the winner the Polish production named Ida.

However, it has competed in more than fifteen international festivals, winning awards 22 times in different categories.

The production cost was 4 million dollars and it has produced more than 30 million dollars at the box office.

Personally I found it a different film with good performances and variable themes.
