The plot is about two siblings, a boy and a girl, who intend to spend the weekend with their partner hunting, at the last minute, down comes his partner, so we have three isolated people. in the forest begin to cooperate with each other.
Anything can happen, and as the consumption of the truth potion increases, many mysteries will be revealed.
The film starts off very well, with an excellent location, a house in the woods of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and very good photography and sound that create atmosphere.

The film progresses quite well, giving us heavy and very well shot scenes.
Macdonald tried to be realistic, but it was brutal: if you were attacked by a wolf, you wouldn't be left with a crack that could be sewn up with six small stitches.
Being the same director and actress, you could say that this is a sequel to Backcountry.
It seems our main protagonist hasn't learned enough about the dangers of wild animals and 10 years later she's wrong again. I personally prefer Backcountry.
All in all it's a fast-paced movie, very good performances, a great cast, each one plays his role very well.
The landscape photography, the sound design and that sense of danger of human nature in the face of dangers that we can not control are outstanding.
Logically it is what it is, not Ingmar Bergman and his meditations on the inevitable. We knew what we were going to see and we were not disappointed.

Yeah, there are those few unrealities these movies keep portraying. Many people don't live to tell the story after being attacked by a wolf. Hehe.
