Kill (2024)

Amrit and his fiancée embark on a train journey to New Delhi. On the way, a group of bandits attack the train with the intention of stealing the passengers' belongings, using extreme violence.

Without a second thought, Amrit and his loyal friend Viresh, both army captains, take on the criminals to protect the travellers from this fearsome horde of villains.

‘Kill’ stands as one of the most brutal productions to come out of India, with action dominating over every other element.

The film focuses almost exclusively on over-the-top violence, showing a train where even the conductor becomes a victim.

An endless festival of stabbings, executions and shocking injuries unfolds, which the characters endure in an almost superhuman manner.

The plot is remarkably simple, inspired by a personal experience of director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, who was robbed during a train journey in India.

The dialogue is irrelevant, limited to short, clichéd sentences that precede the constant fighting.

The cast includes well-known actors such as Laksh Lalwani, Tanya Maniktala and Abhishek Chauhan, who do not always manage to convey credibility in their performances, provoking laughter in moments that should be serious.

However, Raghav Juyal, in the role of the main villain, stands out with a performance that generates great antipathy towards his character, thanks to his undeniable irony.

Undoubtedly, the highlights of the film are the action sequences. The martial arts choreography is excellent, well orchestrated and spectacularly executed.

The special effects are equally remarkable, presenting a rawness that leaves nothing to the imagination, which will surely shock viewers less accustomed to this type of content.
