Jericho Ridge (2024)

Violent, action-packed film about a police station surrounded by sinister criminals. A thrilling action film with a decent cast, strong emotions and a lot of violence.

Concerning a policewoman, officer Tabby Temple (Nikki Amuka-Bird) and her son Monty (Zack Morris) find refuge in the quiet police station when they are shot by assassins.

Meanwhile, Deputy Sheriff Dennis Bailey (Chris Reilly) and Sheriff Eddie Reynolds (Simon Kunz) are doing their job to apprehend a dangerous criminal.

Trapped and without backup, a small town policewoman fights for her life when her remote sheriff's office is attacked by murderous assailants.

The policewoman has just taken command of the police station. Then the place is suddenly under siege and surrounded by a heavily armed gang.

When a would-be locksmith breaks into the sheriff's office after a robbery, law enforcement officer Tabby, wounded and alone in the station, must defend the place with only a broken gun, a shoddy surveillance system and a police radio to communicate with the outside world.

A policewoman with a war on her hands! The criminal gang that swore a blood oath to destroy the station... and all the cops in it! Her enemy... an army of assassins!

The most lethal hitmen have just declared war on the cops. Their only ally... a convicted felon.

The film was shot in Kosovo, but with only one location, it was perfect for reflecting some rural America.

Some script licenses, like the bad guys leaving time for confidences between mother and son, but everything is well shot and planned so that there are hardly any minutes left over and you don't even feel like going to the toilet while waiting for something to happen... something always does happen.

Director Will Gilbey manages to build a tense atmosphere that, although predictable at times, leaves you glued to the screen with a good handling of suspense and action scenes.
