"A True Gentleman” is a Turkish film that, at first glance, could be classified as a romantic comedy. However, digging deeper into its content reveals that it is neither particularly funny nor romantic.

Instead, the film tackles complex issues such as transactional relationships, trauma and existential crises.

The plot follows Saygin, a gigolo who presents himself as the ideal gentleman to his wealthy female clients. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Nehir, leading him to reflect on his decisions and consider revealing the truth about his profession.

Throughout the film, aspects of human drama are explored in their deepest form, but character development is not effectively carried out.

Some elements are left unexplored, preventing the viewer from fully connecting with the protagonists' experiences.

Although the film departs from the typical romantic comedy structure, its denouement is somewhat overblown and lacks the emotional charge one might expect from a story that deals with such serious themes.

The cast is appealing and the actors fit their roles well, but the reliance on superficial elements weakens the depth the film is trying to achieve.

Despite its interesting premise, “A True Gentleman” fails to delve into the complexity of its characters or offer a satisfying denouement. This leaves the viewer with the feeling that the story could have been more impactful and meaningful.

“A True Gentleman” is an uneven attempt to blend romance with more serious themes. While it presents a narrative that could have explored relevant questions about life and relationships, it fails to do so effectively.

The lack of solid character development and an emotionally resonant denouement limits the film's impact, which could disappoint those looking for a deeper experience in the genre.
