Today I want to share a review of a film from the distant 80s - "Sahara"
Я довго думала над тим, про який же фільм або серіал я хочу розповісти першим. Почати з улюблених чи останнього переглянутого? Я вирішила, що хочу почати з того кіно, яке дивилася буквально вчора. А вже потім написати про улюблені картини (якраз буде нагода їх передивитися)
Сьогодні хочу поділитися відгуком на фільм аж із далеких 80-х років - "Сахара"
What is the movie about?
The events take place in the 20s of the 20th century, in the USA, where the once rich Gordon family lives, engaged in the machine business. The main character, Dale Gordon, and her dad are trying to get sponsorship for their family's patented racing cars. There is only one nuance - the car must take part in races in the Sahara desert to prove that it is the best among others. Our main character agrees and goes to the Sahara to prove that she and her dad are worthy of awards and recognition.
Про що фільм?
Події розгортаються у 20-х роках ХХ століття, у США, де мешкає колись багата сім'я Гордонів, які займаються машинною справою. Головна героїня Дейл Гордон та її тато намагаються отримати спонсортво для подальної рошробки гоночних автомобілів, запантетованих їх сім'єю. Є лише один нюанс - машина має взяти участь у гонках у пустелі Сахарі, аби довести що вона найкраща серед іншим. Наша головна героїня погоджується і їде до Сахари аби довести що вона та її тато варті нагороди і визнання.
Everything would be wonderful if there was no war between the nomadic tribes and the Bedouin tribes at that time. And as you could understand - the track will be full of numerous dangers.
Все було б чудово, аби між кочевними племенами на той момент не йшла війна між племенами бедуїнів. І як ви могли зрозуміти - траса буде сповнена численних небезпек.
I can't tell more about the plot without throwing spoilers here, so I'll go to the subjective impression.
As you have already seen, the main role here is simply an incredible, beautiful actress - Brooke Shields. Her beauty is something unearthly! The rest of the cast is pretty cool too. Just look at who played Sheikh Jaffar here

Як ви уже побачили, головна роль тут просто неймовірної, прекрасної акторки - Брук Шилдс. Її краса - це щось неземне! Інший акторський склад теж дуже крутий. Лишень погляньте, хто грав тут Шейха Джаффара.
I did not immediately recognize young Lambert Wilson. He really suits the image of a Bedouin, doesn't he?)
How about without a love line... It is here, and frankly, I was very interested in it. Soon you will meet the trope where an American and a Bedouin fall in love. It is unusual and very beautiful.
Я не одразу впізнала молодого Ламбера Вільсона. Йому дуже пасує образ бедуїна, чи не так?)
Як же без любовної лінії...Вона тут є, і, кажучи відверто, вона мене дуже цікавила. Нечасно зустрінеш троп де американа і бедуїн закохуються. Це незвичайно і дуже гарно.
I liked the love line, but it turned out to be very quick and naive. I think that's a feature of the cinema of that period. However, such dynamism and naivety does not make the film bad, on the contrary, it has its own charm. He radiates a kind of calmness.
The picture itself is very beautiful, I like how they showed the sands of the Sahara and the Bedouins. Now I want to learn more about this culture.
Любовна лінія мені сподобалась, але виявилась дуже швидкою та наївною. Я думаю, що це особливість кіно того періоду. Проте така динамічність та наївність не робить фільм аж ніяк поганим, навпаки в цьому є свій шарм. Він випромінює якийсь спокій.
Сама картинка дуже гарна, мені подобається як показали піски Сахари та бедуїнів. Тепер хочеться більше дізнатися про цю культуру.
Overall, the movie is cool, so I advise you to watch it if you are looking for something light, romantic and unusual for the evening.
