Perfect Day | Bowling Challenge With Friends -Pt 1
Hello, amazing creators of content. I hope you are all having an A-ok day.
Today I want to share an event that I was looking forward to this long-awaited day outing with friends.
The semester break has finally started and I got my friends to come along with me on a day of enjoyment. Together, we enjoyed the bad CGI of The Flash, a good match of bowling, and a cronchy meal.
Let’s begin from the start.
I was supposed to sneak snacks inside the theatre. They were to be present at Jamuna Future Park before 3 pm and head to the blockbuster. The new movie “The Flash” came out a few days ago and the time of the show was 3 pm.
Then, we would head out to play Bowling that was just near the move area, inside the Future World. And, then eat someplace nearby.
I got out of my house at 2:40 pm. I bought Kurkure's 3 flavors and a bottle of Sprite.
My other friend and I reached Jamuna at 3 pm. 2 of my friends still didn't make it. The movie had already started.
Another friend showed up 15 minutes into the movie, but still no sign of the last member. On the 20th minute, we got the whole gang together and bought 4 tickets for the running show in the middle row of the theatre.
Unfortunately, I didn't capture any picture of us inside the movie hall as it was pitch black.
The movie progressed and we brought out our snacks one by one.
The movie ended at 5:30 pm and we discovered that none of us had had lunch. I suggested that we get lunch first and then go bowling but the guys wanted to get throw-down sweat before the big chow as we already had that huge amount of snacks inside the show.
Fast forward to the game. There was a measly entrance fee. We found the place a bit empty. "Perfect for us to go nuts!", I thought to myself.
We entered and found a few people enjoying the game.
One thing was for sure, they do keep the place tidy and neat. No dust on the chairs or the floor.
We pondered about the cost each of us would have to pay. One whole game consisted of 10 rounds and for each round we could throw twice, meaning we could throw 40 times in one game!
I noticed one fatal mistake of ours, we all wore slides and sandals 🙃. The guy at the front desk suggested we wear the shoes they kept in the back. Otherwise, it would've been a hapless slip and a fatal knock on the teeth.
Unsurprisingly, they also kept the balls on the shelves, each of a different number. The shoes came in 3 sizes. 40, 41, and 42. Sadly, the guy you see in the middle(Erfan) needed 3 sizes larger than us. Hence, throughout the entire game, he kept yelling about how his feet were hurting more than his hands XD.
The squad wore the shiny yellow-red kets and were ready to throw some heavy balls.
This was not our first time playing this. Each time, I somehow manage to break my nail on the thumb when throwing. One time I even bled from there because I couldn't launch it properly. I was used to using the white powder the place would provide to make the throw easier but this time there was no such thing.
The names we picked up for each other were fun too. The first guy was Erfan who named himself as thelosthero.
The second guy was Dihan whom I named as negga. I originally wanted to go with neggahunter but there was not enough space🙃🤣.
The third guy was Salman, Erfan changed his name to Hounde and he changed mine to lama... like the animal llama 😅.
The machine was not the best but it got the job done. We could make out our scores and play accordingly. In the first round, only I made contact with the pins and had 6 points, everybody else missed it. In the second round, Erfan took the lead.
In his first strike, he felled 8 pins, and only 2 remained.
He went in for the second strike. And he missed it. Then my turn came along, and I topped once again and remained highest for the first 3 rounds.
The face of disappointment as he lost his lead and Dihan went ahead in the 6th round and caught up to me as I started to miss my shots and fell behind.
Beside this, another aspect that was subpar was the memes that they showed here. It got cut before we even got to fully enjoy it.
Moving to the 9th round, I was in 2nd position and it was Erfan's turn. Hound kept missing his mark as he tried a variety of ways to strike the pins and missed more times than he hit. Now, it was Erfan's turn again.
And sadly, the game was over before I could take a picture of the final score but I came in second with 64 points, Erfan came 1st with 69 points, Dihan came 3rd with 60 points, and Hounde came in last with 57 points.
One key aspect of the game was that it was not the exact points that we may have scored. I say that because after each turn when the machine would reach for the pins, it was unable to pick every pin and so one or two pins got knocked down. It happened in all 4 of our turns and hence it was not a huge problem for us.
This reminded me of the other stuff that turned to waste as time progressed, things in Jamuna like the huge rides at the entrance. I think that is because the huge populace only shows up for clothes or phones or accessories.
The next part of the post is food-related content and that shall be uploaded to you know where, so stay tuned!
