Love through a mother's eyes | Wild Robot

Hace un tiempo vi Robot salvaje y por alguna razón no me gusto tanto, creo que ese día no presté demasiada atención pero recién la volví a ver porque mi mama quería verla y al principio pensé “Uff que aburrido tendré que verla de nuevo” creo que fue lo mejor que pude hacer porque esta vez sí puse más atención y si sentí que conecte muchísimo con la película y cada uno de sus personajes, incluso admito que sentí un nudo en mi garganta en varias escenas y me di cuenta de lo hermosa que es esta película, hace mucho que no veía algo tan maravilloso y diferente, creo que la primera vez que la vi sentí rechazo porque estaba esperando una película más de niños donde abunda la comedia y en esta si hay momentos que te sacan una buena risa pero mayormente toca temas un poco mas serios, entonces hablemos de Robot salvaje.

Some time ago I saw Wild Robot and for some reason I didn't like it so much, I think that day I didn't pay too much attention but I just saw it again because my mom wanted to see it and at first I thought “Uff how boring I will have to see it again” I think it was the best I could do because this time I did pay more attention and I did feel that I connected a lot with the film and each of its characters, I even admit that I felt a lump in my throat in several scenes and I realized how beautiful this movie is, it's been a long time since I saw something so wonderful and different, I think the first time I saw it I felt rejection because I was expecting a children's movie where comedy abounds and in this one there are moments that make you laugh but mostly touches more serious topics, so let's talk about Wild Robot.

Robot salvaje es una película que comienza mostrándonos un paisaje natural donde un robot acaba de “activarse” luego de que se perdiera en una selva, un ambiente bastante rustico donde cada animal que se encuentra por el camino intenta dañarla de alguna u otra forma, la naturaleza real y salvaje, donde Roz intenta adaptarse con el paso de los días y aprender el idioma de los animales para comenzar a cumplir sus tareas, este robot esta programado para servir y por eso busca alguna tarea que pueda cumplir en ese lugar tan extraño. En un momento de acción Roz cae encima de un nido de pato, donde lamentablemente termina aplastando a todos los huevos y a la mama pato, pero... uno de los huevos sobrevivió y desde aquí la película comienza a ponerse realmente interesante.

Wild Robot is a film that begins showing us a natural landscape where a robot has just “activated” after being lost in a jungle, a rather rustic environment where every animal that is found along the way tries to damage it in some way or another, real and wild nature, where Roz tries to adapt with the passage of days and learn the language of animals to begin to fulfill their tasks, this robot is programmed to serve and therefore seeks some task that can meet in that strange place.
In a moment of action Roz falls on top of a duck's nest, where unfortunately ends up crushing all the eggs and the mother duck, but... one of the eggs survived and from here the movie starts to get really interesting.

Roz decide cuidar a este huevo hasta que nazca el pequeño patito y asi poder cumplir al menos con esta misión, sin embargo, todo cambia cuando nace el patito y comienza a perseguir a Roz, obviamente creyendo que es su madre ya que fue lo primero que vio al salir del cascaron, desde este momento Roz con ayuda de un nuevo amigo que es un zorro llamado Fink (Que al principio quería comerse al huevo por cierto jajaja) decide “criar” al pato como si fuese una de sus tareas y cumplir con alimentarlo, enseñarlo a nadar y volar, es aquí donde la historia nos comienza a mostrar como una cosa sin sentimientos como seria un robot, comienza a sentir el verdadero amor.

Roz decides to take care of this egg until the little duckling is born and thus be able to fulfill at least this mission, however, everything changes when the duckling is born and begins to chase Roz, obviously believing that it is his mother since it was the first thing he saw when he came out of the shell, from this moment Roz with the help of a new friend who is a fox named Fink (who at first wanted to eat the egg by the way hahaha) decides to “raise” the duck as if it were one of her tasks and comply with feed him, teach him to swim and fly, it is here where the story begins to show us how a thing without feelings as would be a robot, begins to feel true love.

Aunque sea un robot me sentí demasiado identificada con algunas escenas y diálogos, por ejemplo cuando brillo la quiere ayudar a armar su casa ella dice algo como: “Tu insignificante aporte no ayudara en nada” y brillo se pone triste y es cuando Roz decide dejarlo poner palitos pequeños jajaja, sinceramente es verdad y es algo que me pasa bastante, mi hijo siempre quiere ayudar en las cosas que hago y solo retrasa el proceso, pero como madre me gusta que se involucre en las cosas para hacerlo feliz y tambien hacerlo sentir importante, creo que eso es algo que vale demasiado para cualquier niño.

Although it's a robot I felt too identified with some scenes and dialogues, for example when brightbill wants to help her to build her house she says something like: “Your insignificant contribution won't help at all” and brightbill gets sad and that's when Roz decides to let him put little sticks hahaha, honestly it's true and it's something that happens to me a lot, my son always wants to help in the things I do and only delays the process, but as a mother I like him to get involved in things to make him happy and also make him feel important, I think that's something that's worth too much for any child.

A pesar de que siento que la película avanzo rápido desde que brillo era pequeño hasta que llego a la “adolescencia” por asi decirlo, la película sabe mantener la conexión viva a pesar del tiempo corto que vimos de bebe brillo, sin hacer demasiados spoilers, esta película muestra como Roz se sacrifica por su hijo, a pesar de ser un robot logra sentir amor y sobrepasar más allá de su programación, literalmente puede dar su “vida” o existencia por brillo, y es ahí donde esta lo hermoso de esta película ya que nos muestra que el amor de madre va mas allá de cualquier cosa.

Even though I feel that the movie fast forwarded from when brightbill was little until he reached “adolescence” so to speak, the movie knows how to keep the connection alive despite the short time we saw brightbill as a baby, without making too many spoilers, this movie shows how Roz sacrifices herself for her son, despite being a robot she manages to feel love and go beyond her programming, she can literally give her “life” or existence for brightbill, and that is where the beauty of this movie is because it shows us that a mother's love goes beyond anything.

Siempre después de ver algo que me gusta, me gusta ver algunos videos y curiosidades acerca del tema y me entere que esta película esta basada en un libro, de hecho, son 3 libros asi que probablemente tendremos otra película de Robot salvaje. Tambien quiero mencionar que la animación es bellísima, me encanta ver películas que cambian de animación en ciertas escenas como esta, donde estan contando una historia y literalmente se ve como una ilustración de un libro de cuentos, esos detalles son hermosos.

Always after watching something I like, I like to watch some videos and curiosities about it and I found out that this movie is based on a book, in fact, there are 3 books so we will probably have another Wild Robot movie.
I also want to mention that the animation is beautiful, I love to see movies that change animation in certain scenes like this one, where they are telling a story and it literally looks like an illustration of a storybook, those details are amazing.

Y a mitad de la película vemos otra historia más, donde la unión de todos será primordial para salvarse, donde Roz nos demuestra que no solo ha desarrollado un instinto y amor maternal, sino que tambien quiere salvar el lugar donde ha vivido este último tiempo y a todas aquellas criaturas que siempre la tildaron de monstruo, es una parte de la historia que te hace perder un poco el foco de la trama principal pero, que aun asi me gusto porque tiene otra lección que enseñarnos y que probamente si fuéramos tan humanos como Roz el mundo seria un lugar mejor.

And halfway through the film we see another story, where the union of all will be paramount to save themselves, where Roz shows us that not only has developed a maternal instinct and love, but also wants to save the place where she has lived this last time and all those creatures that always branded her as a monster, is a part of the story that makes you lose a little focus of the main plot but still I liked it because it has another lesson to teach us and that probably if we were as human as Roz the world would be a better place.

Realmente recomiendo ver esta película porque no solo va para una audiencia de niños o madres, creo que puede llegar a tocar el corazón de todos como hijos, ver esos sacrificios que nuestras madres pueden hacer por nosotros, para enseñarnos a volar y afrontar la vida a pesar de las circunstancias, donde tambien podemos ver que la unión hace la fuerza y con un final que te darán muchas ganas de llorar, aunque… bueno, muchas escenas de la película te dan ganas de llorar realmente, es preciosa y es una joya magnifica del director Chris Sanders junto con DreamWorks que por cierto, amo DreamWorks más que Disney siempre entrega películas que no tienen miedo a tocar ciertos temas y super buenas, una de mis favoritas es Shrek, no saben cómo amo esa película y hoy puedo decir que Robot salvaje se une a esta lista de mis favoritos.

I really recommend watching this movie because it is not only for an audience of children or mothers, I think it can touch the heart of everyone as children, see those sacrifices that our mothers can make for us, to teach us to fly and face life despite the circumstances, where we can also see that unity is strength and with an ending that will make you want to cry, although .... well, many scenes of the movie make you want to cry really, it is beautiful and is a magnificent jewel of director Chris Sanders along with DreamWorks that by the way, I love DreamWorks more than Disney always delivers movies that are not afraid to touch certain topics and super good, one of my favorites is Shrek, u do not know how I love that movie and today I can say that Wild Robot joins this list of my favorites.
