"Dragon Ball Super: Broly" by Tatsuya Nagamine: Gogeta versus The Legendary Super Saiyan "Broly"
Greetings!
It was in the 1990s when I first saw Dragon Ball being shown on one of the local television here in our country. If I remember right it was the local channel "RPN 9" that was showing the series at the time every Sunday at 5:00 PM if my memory serves me right. It was also the first time that I saw Dragon Ball when Goku was still a young boy being taken care of by an old man whom he called "Gohan" (whom he eventually named his firstborn).
When I first saw Dragon Ball (Goku) I immediately hooked up with the anime because it was fun to watch. The humor and the storyline if very interesting which is why I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. Dragon Ball is also one of the reasons why I am getting home early from playing every Sunday afternoon just to watch it.
After Dragon Ball, there are now multiple sequel series namely: Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball Super. Aside from the TV series, there are now more than 20 animated films ever produced the two most recent animated films are Dragon Ball Super: Broly and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Between the two recent animated films, I like Dragon Ball Super: Broly more because this is the moment when Gogeta became canon in the story arc of Dragon Ball.
The narrative of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly mainly focuses on the beginning of Goku, Broly, and Vegeta. The film also included Bardock, the father of Goku and of course the mother of Goku, Gine. On the other hand, the mother of both Vegeta and Broly was not mentioned in the film, with King Vegeta as the father of Vegeta, and Paragus as the father of Broly.
Also, the narrative of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly included how Frieza annihilated planet Vegeta and then spread lies that the planet collided with a meteor and obliterated it in the process. And then it fast-forward to the present.
What I love the most about this movie is its story because it tackles the beginning of all four main characters Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and Gogeta. Of course, I also love the inclusion of the father and mother of Goku. It would have been much nicer if the movie included the mother of Vegeta and Broly. It is also a thumbs up for the movie showing King Cold and the Frieza Force which was called Cold Force under King Cold.
Another aspect of the movie that I like is the background music at the beginning of the movie. The background alone will make you hooked on the movie immediately.
Then there's Whiz and Beerus. I am actually surprised that this movie included both of them but not fighting anyone. I think the reason why Whiz and Beerus were included is to clearly show the series of events. Dragon Ball Super: Broly happened immediately after the Tournament of Power won by Android 17, the brother of Android 18. Remember Ultra Instinct? It is with the Tournament of Power that when Goku unlocked the skill previously known to be only the gods were able to use.
The humor that Dragon Ball is known for is still very apparent in this movie. Whiz is still very much fond of food, as well as Beerus (who likes to rest all day long and loves food too). This movie also never failed to surprise with its humor when Bulma was able to make Beerus a babysitter. Not only that, I liked it when the movie revealed that Bulma was collecting the Dragon Ball so that she could wish to be 5 years younger. It also surprises me that Frieza is collecting the Dragon Ball so that he can wish Shenron to grow 5 centimeters.
This movie is also unpredictable. I am not able to guess what will happen next especially when Vegeta and Goku get to meet Frieza once again and Paragus a Broly for the first time. I am also surprised that Vegeta immediately knew that Paragus and Broly were Saiyan even if he only saw them for the first time ever. In return, Paragus was also able to recognize Vegeta.
And then the moment that we fans of Dragon Ball are always waiting for the battle, I love how the battle started and how Frieza was able to persuade Paragus to use Broly to battle with Vegeta. The battle is epic from the get-go as Vegeta is able to sense something strange about Broly and then the sequence goes on from Vegeta in his base form until he is forced to transform into Super Saiyan Blue
Did I just say unpredictable? I entirely forgot about Goku while Vegeta and Broly were slugging it out and when it is Goku's turn the background is amazing it makes you pumped up and make you at the edge of your seat as Goku is finally able to have a piece of Broly. Of course, Goku battling Broly got Goku in a disadvantageous position together with Vegeta.
And then the biggest surprise of the movie came when Goku and Vegeta did the fusion and finally brought Gogeta into the canon arc of Dragon Ball which is the best that happened to Dragon Ball. I cannot imagine a better moment to include Gogeta into the canon arc of Dragon Ball than to make Gogeta battle Broly. With that being said, I can say that this movie is a masterpiece.
Until the end of the battle of Gogeta and Broly, I am still not able to predict what will happen next. But the ending is a typical style of Dragon Ball all throughout from the first Dragon Ball, it was a peaceful ending, Broly was saved by Shenron and then Goku went on to visit Broly.
All in all the movie is amazing, it is unpredictable and it is a good thing. I love how they brought Gogeta into the canon. And I can't think of a better way than what this movie did in including Gogeta in the canon which made a lot of fans very very happy. I can say this movie is a masterpiece. A must-watch for Dragon Ball fans who haven't seen it yet.

That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.

Goku and Vegeta are my favorite characters. I haven't seen the sequels, but Dragon Ball is a fun part of my life.
Same, Dragon Ball is one of the best memories that I have as a little boy. You've got to watch this is, it is epic.
Dragon Ball nunca pasara de moda, aunque los últimos invento no me ha gustado mucho, Goku sigue siendo un ejemplo a seguir jajaja y mi personaje favorito siempre fue Gohan, siento que pudo dar mas.
