Putting on the character of a woman in the opposite religion

Hello great friends in this great community. Welcome back to my blog this beautiful day.

Taking the role is a Muslim women in a movie last two years was one of the highest character I have ever taken in a movie set. Since the year 2013 that I went to mount Zion institute of christian drama, I have taken different roles in different movies and most of the role that is given to me has to do with Hausa language. I don't know why, but maybe because I speak Hausa language fluently. For me I would have loved to be involved only in English movies. But so far I have taken roles in English movies up to nine times and the rest is Hausa movies.

Taking a character that one is not used to always gives alot of problems. One will need to do alot of work on self to be able to fit into the character. When I started taking Hausa movies was in Adamawa state in the in the year 2019. I was also given a role as a northern lady, but not as a Muslim lady. That one was a little bit simple for me because this is where I grew up and I know most of their lifestyle, their culture and mannerism of life. I took the character of a lady who neglected her roles as a mother, wife and also a mother. Her lifestyle gave the enemy a chance to enter into her home and took the husband and children away from her and that was an eye opener for her. From that moment her life changed and she was introduced to a life of suffering and begging for survival. Her husband left the house for another woman and he was no more there to provide for the family.

Ever since we acted that movie lots of churches have used it during their marriage seminars and the lives of many has been affected positively. The producer is known for his great work in the christian movie industry. The title of the movie is KWARAMBA. one can easily get it in YouTube by searching for - Musa Zira films and locate Kwaramba. I believe that if you watch the movie it will bless your life and anyone you will introduce to the movie.

TAKING A VERY DIFFICULT CHARACTER.
In the movie - Mogun Zamani, written by Felix Bankole. It is also sub-titled in English language and it also has an English version of it. This is the movie where I featured as a Muslim women who's son became a Christian and the father of the house vowed to kill both mother and son became he believes that the mother was in support of what the son was doing. The movie is very interested, I will just allow you to watch it on your own.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT BECAME CHALLENGING FOR ME IN THE MOVIE.

  1. Learning how to dress like a Muslim lady. I'm not used to putting on hijab like the Muslims do, but I had to learn it. Even getting the costume was a very big work for me because all my friends are Christians. I had to follow people to their homes to get the costume.

  2. Putting on the character. It also became a very big task for me because I have never thought that I will ever take such roles not even to talk about practicing it.

  3. Learning how to speak as a Muslim lady. We have different tongue of Hausa language. The Hausa tongue spoken by the Muslims is very different from the common Hausa tongue we speak every day. Is just like speaking the correct English language and the broken English. We call it broken English because it is like a particle of the correct English language.

An interesting topic raised in the film, I will look for it on Youtube. The job of an actor is to get into the skin of other people, and I think the hard part is to get out of character. I admire your sense of faith with religion. Best regards from Venezuela.

That's great of you acting such part you must be good at this. Just the matter of time, you would become more proficient than even the Hausas themselves.

What a character displayed.

What a well-displayed character. That's the work of a good actor, he or she must be able to bring the character to life

Hahahaha, I will like to watch that movie. There is one movie I watched that they tried speaking Igbo, I was like..is not by force nah?

You did so well by accepting the character as it's not easy to do what you are not used too
