The top 10 is not always right
Streaming channels have several ways to suggest us what to watch, sometimes they are based on what we have seen even without pointing out if we like it or not, other times they are based on our opinions and some have top lists of series and movies, in several opportunities I have found gems there, but in others I have found really disappointing movies or series.
A few days ago, after watching the last installment of Bad Boys (Bab Boys forever), I decided to choose one of Max's top 10 movies.
In The Shadows
This movie is set 43 million years ago, somewhere in the ice age or its end, we see a group of 6 people who for the posed have decided to leave their old home behind in search of a new one, because they were no longer getting food and they arrive by boat to a new land that seems to be quite hostile, as their land is not fertile and the climate is quite dry.
Thus begins what is a film of adventure, suspense and terror 43.000 years in the past. Let's remember that man had just discovered fire and it was what they used to keep warm and protect themselves, but in this case, being outside their territory, in unexplored areas, they begin to be harassed or hunted by something that in the middle of the night takes the young man of the group, a boy named Heron, who by the way is played by a girl, who is the son of the leader of the group Adem, a strong and very stubborn man, who is a hunter along with another young man named Geirr.
Let's remember that according to what was discovered, prehistoric man depended on numbers and strategies to hunt, so being a small group, the fact that one of the two hunters was lost or died was a risk, since this group had two hunters, a pregnant woman, an old man who was considered wise because of his age and a young woman who was the outcast of the group.
Now, this group begins to be as I mentioned attacked and stalked by something that after taking the child makes them go into a forest and begins to collect victims starting with the hunter and leader, the scenes of how he is found after being attacked are a bit strong showing brutality in the attack he has received.
This 2022 film directed by Andrew Cummin, with the purpose of keeping us in suspense and place us in time, has very dark scenes, so sometimes it is difficult to distinguish what is happening especially if you see it in the day and a lot of light enters the room, also although for a long time keeps you in suspense then you are disappointed, but you can't deny that its artistic part is good, the music that keeps you in suspense, and the idea of what it presents us is possible that it happened in the slow evolution of man, so these parts deserve to be recognized, but the end remains as a void because it was expected more.
In short, I was disappointed and the truth is not a movie that I would recommend as good, it has as I mentioned its praiseworthy points without a doubt, but I would not see it again and I give it a 5 out of 10, so do not always trust the tops of the channels and know that you can be disappointed with what you will find.
Los canales streaming tienen diversas maneras para sugerirnos que ver, algunas veces se basan en lo que hemos visto aun sin señalar si nos gusta o no, otras veces se basan en nuestras opiniones y algunos tienen listas top de las series y películas, en diversas oportunidades he encontrado joyas allí, pero en otras he encontrado películas o series realmente decepcionantes.

Entre Las Sombras
Esta película se ambienta hace 43 millones de años, en algún punto de la era del hielo o de su final, vemos un grupo de 6 personas que por lo planteado han decidido dejar atrás su antiguo hogar en busca de una nueva, porque ya no conseguían alimento y llegan en bote a una nueva tierra que parece ser bastante hostil, ya que su tierra no es fértil y el clima es bastante seco.
Así comienza lo que es una película de aventura, suspenso y terror 43.000 años en el pasado. Recordemos que apenas el hombre había descubierto el fuego y era lo que usaban para calentarse y protegerse, pero en este caso al estar fuera de su territorio, en zonas no exploradas, comienzan a ser acosados o cazados por algo que en medio de la noche se lleva al joven del grupo, un niño de nombre Heron, quien por cierto es interpretado por una niña, quien es hijo del líder del grupo Adem, un hombre fuerte y muy terco, quien es cazador junto a otro joven de nombre Geirr
Recordemos que de acuerdo a lo descubierto el hombre prehistórico dependida de los números y estrategias, para cazar por lo que siendo esté un grupo pequeño el que uno de los dos cazadores se perdiera o muriera era de riesgo, ya que este grupo contaba con dos cazadores, una mujer embarazada, un hombre viejo que era considerado como sabio por su edad y una joven que era la marginada del grupo.
Ahora bien, este grupo comienza a ser como ya mencioné atacado y asechado por algo que luego de llevarse el niño los hace adentrase en un bosque y comienza cobrar víctimas comenzando por el cazador y líder, las escenas de como es encontrado luego de ser atacado son un poco fuertes mostrando brutalidad en el ataque que ha recibido.
Esta película de 2022 dirigida por Andrew Cummin, con el propósito de mantenernos en suspenso y ubicarnos en el tiempo, tiene escenas muy oscuras, por lo que a veces es difícil distinguir que está ocurriendo sobre todo si la vez en el día y entra mucha luz en la habitación, además aunque durante bastante tiempo te mantiene en suspenso luego te decepciona, pero no se puede negar que su parte artística, es buena, la música que te mantiene en suspenso, y la idea de lo que nos plantea es posible que ocurriera en el lento evolucionar del hombre, así que estas partes merecen ser reconocidas, pero el final queda como un vacío porque se esperaba más.
En resumen, yo quedé decepcionada y la verdad no es una película que recomendaría como buena, tiene como ya mencione sus puntos elogiables sin lugar a dudas, pero no la volvería a ver y le doy un 5 de 10, así que no siempre confíen en los tops de las canales y sepan que pueden decepcionarse con lo que encontraran.

Sometimes they really hit the mark, but other times, it feels like a total letdown. I appreciate your honesty about 'In The Shadows.' It's cool to hear about its artistic elements, but I get how frustrating it is when the ending doesn't live up to expectations. I think it's important to share these opinions, since we often rely on those top lists.
The truth is I was expecting a better outcome, it's like when a dish looks good and has no flavor, something like that I felt, but well, as you said, sometimes the Top 10 gives us these results.
