Ice Soldiers
The synopsis of the film looked the truth, interesting pointing out that we will be in the presence of the encounter of some soldiers who were in the ice and that after being awakened by a scientist there was a great challenge for humanity, until there the thing looked promising, but it was not.
The Ice Soldiers, begins with a group of scientists in the 60's who find three men who are in what appear to be cryo capsules, after awakening one of them and achieving in theory to subdue him, but it was not so, being a supersoldier manages to escape and free his two companions and kill everyone in the base leaving alive only the scientist who was brought to examine them, which was raped by one of them.
Now, why has this movie been so disappointing for me, first of all we are not told anything about how these soldiers were created or their purpose, we are just sold the typical Cold War idea, in which these three evil Russian soldiers, very tall, beefy and mega blond (you can tell they used any amount of bleach) are a terrible threat that must be eliminated, after not being able to subdue them to study them.
On the other hand, there is no gripping plot, we only see how many years later a new group of scientists and military arrives, looking for these three men, so they make a recount of their last tour, in which after finishing with the base where they were they attacked the nearest town ending with everyone and from there disappeared without a trace.
Here we enter into another inconsistency how easy it was to find them, as if finding a body in places so covered by ice (like Canada) was easy, we know it is not and this group was to give just the place.
On the other hand, although part of the cast seemed to give us something good, the script of the film left them on the surface we have Dominic Purcell, as the protagonist, who became well known after his participation in the series Prison Break, and also for his participation in Blade Trinity, Michael Ironside, who is usually given roles to play military, because he has the bearing and attitude, Adam Beach who participated in films like Codes of War and Suicide Squad among others, but here there was not much to give, so I do not know what to say about their performances.
This Canadian movie leaves gaps and many questions that if we are willing to ignore, although there are things in them that are exogenously obvious, we can watch it, but only once, as I am sure you will forget it as fast as me, because honestly it doesn't have much to offer and they never give real samples of how lethal the soldiers are, we only know that they were genetically modified, but we don't know much about them, only that they survive extreme conditions and serious injuries.
In summary today I learned that not always the recommendation of the channels or the tops of the most watched are reliable, because sometimes we can get very disappointing movies.
Todos hemos visto películas o series de las que aparecen recomendadas en nuestros canales streaming o también están entre el top de las más vistas y muchas veces estas sugerencias nos ayudan a elegir de manera rápida, algo que ver dando muchas veces gratas sorpresas. Pero otras dejándonos impresionados por lo terrible que puede ser lo que terminamos presenciando.
Soldados de Hielo
La sinopsis de la película se veía la verdad, interesante señalando que estaremos en presencia del encuentro de unos soldados que se encontraban en el hielo y que tras ser despertados por un científico había un gran desafío para la humanidad, hasta allí la cosa se veía prometedora, pero no lo fue.
Los Soldados de hielo, comienza con grupo de científicos en los años 60 que encuentran a tres hombres que están en lo que parecen crio cápsulas, tras despertar a uno de ellos y lograr en teoría someterlo, pero no fue así, al ser un supersoldado logra escape y liberar a sus dos compañeros y asesinar a todos en la base dejando solo con vida a la científica que fue traída para examinarlos, la cual fue violada por uno de ellos.
Ahora bien, por qué ha sido tan decepcionante para mí esta película, lo primero no nos dicen nada de como fueron creados estos soldados o su propósito, solo nos venden la idea típica de la Guerra Fría, en la que estos tres soldados Rusos malvados, muy altos, fornidos y mega rubios (se nota a leguas que usaron cualquier cantidad de decolorante)son una terrible amenaza a la que se debe eliminar, tras no poder someterlos para estudiarlos.
Por otro lado, no hay una trama que atrape, solo vemos como muchos años después llega un nuevo grupo de científicos y militares, buscando a estos tres hombres, asi que hacen un recuento de su último recorrido, en el que luego de acabar con la base en la que estaban atacaron el pueblo más cercano acabando con todos y de allí desaparecieron sin dejar rastro.
Aquí entramos en otra incoherencia lo fácil que fue encontrarlos, como si encontrar un cuerpo en sitios tan cubiertos por el hielo (como Canadá) fuera fácil, sabemos que no lo es y este grupo fue a dar justo al lugar.
Por otra parte, aunque parte del elenco parecía que nos brindaría algo bueno, el guion de la película los dejo en la superficie tenemos a Dominic Purcell, como protagonista, quien se hizo muy conocido tras su participación en la serie Prison Break, y también por su participación en Blade Trinity, Michael Ironside, a quien suelen darle papeles para interpretar militares, pues tiene el porte y la actitud, Adam Beach quien participó en películas como Códigos de Guerra y Escuadrón Suicida entre otros, pero aquí no había mucho que dar, así que no sé qué decir sobre sus actuaciones.
Esta película canadiense deja vacíos y muchas preguntas que si estamos dispuestos a ignorar, aunque hay cosas en ellas que son exógenamente obvias, podemos verla, pero solo una vez, pues estoy segura la olvidaran tan rápido como yo, porque sinceramente no tiene mucho que ofrecer y nunca dan muestras reales de que tan letales son los soldados, solo sabemos que fueron modificados genéticamente, pero no sabemos gran cosa de ellos, solo que sobreviven a condiciones extremas y a heridas graves.
En resumen hoy aprendí que no siempre la recomendación de las canales o los tops de los más vistos son confiables, pues a veces podemos conseguir películas muy decepcionantes.
