CineTV Contest: Date Night, The Best Movie Around New York City.

Hello friends. I am delighted to be a part this contest where I will not just be giving a movie review but a movie that has New York city as its center of attraction or the setting. As a movie lover, I have lost count about how many movies that is about New York which I have watched but there is always a best one which leads to me writing about a movie titled ”Date Night”.

The movie setting is in New York City because the actors went to a restaurant in Manhattan which is a part of New York. Also, this movie was premiered in New York.
Even without me being in New York or never visited New York before, I could tell a few things about what New York looks like just because I have watched the movie. This movie also takes us on a tour around the New York City during the wild car chase.

Plot of the movie

Phil and Clarie Foster are couples whose relationships are feeing stagnant because of their work routine. Phil who works as a tax worker and Clarie who works as a realtor no longer have the romantic bond between themselves and their date nights has been lagging. After hearing that Brad and Haley, their friends are about to file a divorce, the decide to spice up their relationship by going to a date night.

Sadly, the date night in a Manhattan restaurant led them into trouble after they take a reservation of another couple entirely, “The Tripplehorns”. While the couples were chatting and having fun, two men, Collins and Armstrong mistakes them for the “Tripplehorns” and demands for a flash drive which was stolen from mob boss Joe Miletto. The Fosters were mistaken as the “Tripplehorns”.

This led to a wild car chase between Collins, Armstrong and Phil, Clarie (The Fosters). Finally, the Fosters go in search of the “Tripplehorns” and got the flash drive but it fell inside the water during the wild car chase. Detective Arroyo comes to help the Fosters and at last, Collins and Armstrong got arrested and the Fosters are hailed as heroes.

Again, Phil expresses his love for Clarie again and the movie ends.

How it influenced you (and/or people around you).

At least, I can tell that I have seen New York city in movies and I can tell a bit of what it looks like. For someone like me who wishes to travel to America, New York to be precise someday, I can tell what New York is like and that has s big influence on me.

Secondly, it kind of portrays the things that causes divorce in some homes and seeing them try to protect their home by sorting their differences has a big influence on me. Instead of breaking up, we can sort it out, baby.

Any scene that still pops into your mind.

The wild car chase scene is just the best scene in the movie. I know I like love and I could have chosen the love scene but the car chase scene is just so exceptional. It looked so real and at some point, I was scared for them thinking they may get injured but that shows how trained they are as actors and drivers.

Performance of the actors/actress that left an impression.

We should give a thumbs up to Tina Fey. She was so much in the character and what made her performance extra was the car chase scene and other scenes when they both got into trouble. I must say, Tina Fey is an exceptional actress. She has an outstanding performance.

This movie is a great one. I would not want to use the word “perfect” but it has a very fantastic storyline and the best actors for each roles.
The movie is rated 9:10 by me. The graphics, continuity, acting and directing of the movie are all good.
